My blog was offline for quite some time due to technical problems and self-motivational reasons but now I finally brought it back online. This also involved moving the software to a new host and updating it to run under TurboGears 1.0.2.2.

Unfortunately, due to the aforementioned technical difficulties, I lost the current database and consequently some posts and comments, specifically all post after 2006-12-12. I'm still rummaging through my files to see if I find a more recent copy of the database. If not, I can hopefully still restore the posts by retrieving them from the Goggle cache but this will take some time.

But back to the good news: CBlog, the TurboGears-based software that drives this blog, now has a Trac project site at http://cblogtrac.serveblog.net. There you can browse the SVN repository and, eventually, find some documentation. I also plan to set up a public read-only SVN repository soon.

Regular blog posting activity will resume shortly.

P.S. I had to disable anonymous comments due to spamming for the present. I'll hopefully implement a better spam filter or captcha mechanism soon.
